On August 18, 2021, the official website of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) released the Notice on the Evaluation Results of 2021 NSFC Projects Application . Sevenout of 37 projects applied by the School of Environment and Architecture were approved, with a total funding amount of 2.73 million yuan.  These included 3 general fund projects and 4 youth science fund projects.

NSFC is the main channel to support fundamental research in China. The approval of NSFC projects is an important symbol to evaluate the innovation ability and research management level of colleges and universities. For a long time, the college has emphasized the great importance to the application and management of NSFC; insisted on starting the application preparation in advance; investigated the college researchers' willingness to apply for NSFC; and held seminars on the application of both general and youth fund projects of NSFC, so as to fully arouse the enthusiasm and initiative of college researchers. At the same time, the college has earnestly implemented the requirements of carefully selecting topics and improving quality put forward by the university; conducted several rounds of discussion on the application topics and contexts; and made great efforts to improve the quality of the application. The great progress made by the college reflected the positive effect of the whole process management of the application of National Natural Science Fund of the college.
